Sclerotherapy

These small, dilated veins near the surface of the skin are an unwelcome sign of aging and can cause itching and minor pain. In surface sclerotherapy, Dr. Pedulla first applies a local anesthetic to prevent any discomfort to the patient. He then uses ultrasound imaging technology to precisely deliver an injection that causes the problem veins to close down. Dr. Pedulla then removes the spider veins using minimally invasive techniques.
